A 15-year-old boy is being investigated by police in connection with a series of recent vandalism incidents in Helensburgh after being caught allegedly damaging a car in the town at the weekend.
Officers reportedly observed the youth jumping and kicking a car wing mirror in East King Street on Sunday night, September 8 and apprehended him after he ran from the scene.
The youngster, from Fisher Place, was taken to his home address where he was charged with the alleged damage in the presence of his parent.

A report is being prepared for the children’s reporter and police say they are looking into whether he may have been involved in other similar offences in the area recently.
Last week, a BMW in Cardross was badly scratched by a suspected vandal, with offensive words allegedly scored into the vehicle’s paintwork.
