BEACH cleaners in Rhu are being urged to don their gloves and wellies and look out their litter pickers for the latest community event this weekend.
The Rhu and Shandon Community Council have organised the monthly get together for 10am on Sunday, September 22 to tackle the waste on the shoreline.
Despite a less than promising weather forecast members of the public are being asked to help out if they can, even if they can only offer half an hour of their time.
Kate Williams, part of the original Rhu Beach Cleaning Crew duo, is taking over as beach cleaning 'czar' and anyone else wishing to join on Sunday should meet for a photo shoot by the banner which has been strung up outside the loos.
