PROPOSALS for a major visitor development in a village on the banks of Loch Lomond will go on show to the public at an event in nearby Arrochar on Thursday, September 26.

Moulsdale Properties Ltd hopes to apply to the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority for permission for a village square, close to the A82/A83 junction, along with a ‘tourism and mixed use’ development including – but not limited to – accommodation, retail, food and drink uses, plus traffic calming, infrastructure and landscaping, on various sites in the village, close to the junction of the A82 and A83 trunk roads.

The plans were made public in August through the submission of a 'proposal of application notice' to the national park's planning officials.

The company’s proposals are on show at the Three Villages Hall in Arrochar from 10am-9pm on Thursday – though those unable to attend in person will be able to view and comment on the plans at moulsdaleproperties.com from Thursday onwards.

In a statement publicising the event, Moulsdale Properties said: "This notice does not relate to a planning application and comments should not be made to the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority at this stage.

"Any comments made to the prospective applicants are not representations to the planning authority.

"If a planning application is submitted, normal neighbour notification and publicity will be undertaken, and there will be an opportunity to make formal representations regarding the proposal at that time."
