ARGYLL and Bute Council is inviting applications for its Supporting Communities Fund for 2020/21.

A maximum award of £2,500 is available to community groups to help with the funding of their project or activity.

Groups from all over the council area, including Helensburgh and Lomond, can apply until Friday, December 6.

Once all applications have been collated, the relevant area committee will decide on the money’s distribution in the springtime of 2020.

Councillor Rory Colville, the authority’s policy lead for community development, said: “I’m pleased that the council is once again committed to helping excellent project ideas from our communities come to fruition.

“There will be a lot of good ideas out there that need a financial boost and I encourage any community groups with fresh ideas to apply to the Supporting Communities Fund.”
