A MAN from Kilcreggan has appeared in court charged with alleged drink driving.

Police responded to a call shortly before 1am on Wednesday, October 23 reporting that a car had crashed into other stationary vehicles near to Fairfield Gardens in the village.

Officers identified an address entered by the male driver – who was reported to have been driving a silver Jaguar – thought to be responsible for causing the damage.

The man, a 42-year-old, was said to be under the influence of alcohol and allegedly failed, without reasonable excuse, to provide two specimens of breath for analysis.

He was then arrested and taken to Clydebank police office where he again failed to provide two samples of breath as required by law, according to police.

The man was held in custody and appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court the following day, where he was bailed and ordered to return in the new year.
