FORMER Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher paid a visit to Helensburgh and Lomond at the weekend after a storming solo gig in Glasgow.

The rock 'n roll star was in Luss on Saturday, November 16 after performing at the SSE Hydro the night before.

The music legend posted a picture of himself in front of the St Kessog memorial cross, with the caption "Biblical", on Twitter and also commented that he loves Scotland so much he is considering buying a house north of the border.

Music fans with long-ish memories will recall that this isn’t the first time a Gallagher has attracted attention on the bonnie banks.

Twenty-three years ago, in August 1996, Liam, his brother Noel and their Oasis bandmates performed in front of some 80,000 fans at Balloch Castle Country Park, in two of the biggest Scottish gigs of the decade.
