FIVE Helensburgh and Lomond businesses have been named as finalists in the 2020 Scottish Confetti Wedding Awards.

The Wedding Planner, Jennifer Thomson Hair, Helensburgh Flowers and the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel will join 2019 prize winner Elegance Boutique at this year’s awards ceremony, taking place in Glasgow on January 26.

They are among 12 businesses from across West Dunbartonshire and Argyll and Bute who are in the running for awards.

All 12 have been congratulated by the area’s MSP, Jackie Baillie, in a motion lodged at the Scottish Parliament this week.

Ms Baillie said: “It’s great to see that 12 local business from across Dumbarton, the Vale of Leven and Helensburgh and Lomond have made it into the final.

“To make it this far, is a testament to the hard work these businesses do, in going the extra mile for their customers to deliver a premier wedding service.

The other businesses from near Helensburgh named as finalists are All Dressed Up, 1500 Photography, Carr’s Loch Lomond, Get it Glam, Colin Lawrie Bagpiping Services, Totally Tartan Kilt Makers and Makeup By Debbie.
