IT may not quite be Swan Lake or The Nutcracker, but people aged over 55 in Helensburgh and the surrounding area are being encouraged to take up ballet as a way of keeping physically active.
Weekly 'Silver Swans' classes for older residents have been set up in the Geilston Hall in Cardross, beginning this Wednesday, January 22 and running every Wednesday thereafter from 10.30am until 11.30am.
In addition to the Cardross classes for over-55s, adult ballet classes, for any age, take place on Tuesdays from 6.30-7.30pm in the Gibson Hall, Garelochhead.
Ballet is a great way to exercise both the body and the mind, so why not come along and experience an enjoyable class?
