HELENSBURGH Orchestral Society’s first concert of the new year will be held on Sunday, February 2 at 4pm in the Victoria Halls.
The concert will include a fantastic and varied selection of music – something for everyone, perfect for all ages and an ideal Sunday afternoon out!
The programme, conducted by Robert Baxter, includes music by Shostakovich, Brahms, Elgar and Strauss, and the orchestra’s principal flute Janine Macfarlane features in a performance of the first movement of the Stamitz Flute Concerto.

Afternoon tea, with a selection of delicious home-baked cakes, is included in the ticket price of £8/£4 students – and admission for accompanied under 12s is free.
Tickets are available now from orchestra members and The Scandinavian Shop, or can be bought at the door on the day.
