COULD your wee one be the next Andy Warhol?

Well, Helensburgh Art Hub is certainly doing its best to find out, with a series of weekly classes proving popular among the town’s most creative children.

Advertiser photographer Tom Watt headed along to the West Clyde Street facility as up-and-coming artists and anyone interested in drawing, painting and making enjoyed the ‘Wee Warhols’ session for over-6s.

The five youngsters who took part in the Saturday morning group celebrated Winnie the Pooh day by looking at illustrator EH Shepard, drawing the animated character and making artist’s books.

“I was very impressed with the works they produced,” Art Hub owner Karlyn Marshall said.

“They developed their own ideas and all created artwork to take home.

“The girls focused on illustration, while the boys created a range of works including castles, superheroes and Winnie the Pooh himself in an illustrative style.

"They even fitted in a spontaneous Dada-inspired singsong.”

In the afternoon Sharon Goodwin from Sew Silly Lily led a textile therapy workshop where six ladies, including Karlyn, created textile art.
