PLANS for a hotel, pub and office development in Helensburgh will go on display to the public this week.

Residents will be able to view the proposals for the Iona Stables site, next to the town’s Waitrose supermarket, at a consultation event which is being held at the Commodore Hotel on Thursday, February 13.

Developers behind the plans, who include Rhu-based architect Malcolm Pearson, will be available from 2pm to 7pm to display the proposals and answer any questions.

Mr Pearson is a director of Pearson Property Promotions, who are representing the applicant, Iceni Projects Ltd.

The event is part of a 12-week 'pre-application consultation' (PAC) on the plans, a standard feature of any major development proposal.

A formal planning application for the development has not yet been submitted to Argyll and Bute Council, and cannot be lodged until at least Wednesday, March 11, when the PAC period expires.

Admission to the consultation event is free of charge.
