THE talents of green-fingered pupils from Helensburgh and Lomond’s primary schools have gone on show at Ardardan Estate in Cardross this week.
Pupils from all 13 of the area’s schools have been taking part in the annual bulb competition run by the Helensburgh and Gareloch Horticultural Society.
The judging took place at the end of last week, with Arrochar Primary chosen as the overall winners, and recipients of the Ardardan Shield, while Garelochhead Primary’s pupils were ‘highly commended’ for their efforts.

A spokesperson for the society said: “We were thrilled to see so many high quality hyacinths and tete a tete grown by P4 and P5 children in all 13 primary schools in Helensburgh and Lomond area.
“Well done to everyone for taking part. We hope you have enjoyed growing your own flowers.”
The competition entries will be on display at Ardardan until this Sunday, February 16.
