THE PICTURESQUE Loch Lomond Golf Club celebrated its 25th year last year – and the popularity of the golf Club continues as they play host to approximately 600 Members from all over the World. 

With an exceptional track record of stable employment, the Club are now looking to recruit new seasonal staff. On average 60 per cent of seasonal staff return with many being made permanent within the company. The high-ranking Club strives to offer extensive opportunities for growth for both new and existing workers.

Extensive investment continues to be made in the Club and in particular the golf course. Currently in sight is the completion of a major renovation project which has seen complete renewal of all drainage and irrigation systems alongside sand capping on all 18 holes.

The more recently opened Colquhoun Lodge, offering an additional eight bedrooms at the Club, has been a huge success taking the total rooms available to 51. Many other rooms throughout the residence have or are undergoing refurbishment; a rolling programme designed to ensure the Clubs high standards are maintained.

Loch Lomond Golf Club are looking for enthusiastic outgoing candidates. The ideal employee will be someone who can go that extra mile with a friendly personality.

Age and background are of no importance, and all staff are given the same opportunities to progress.

There are currently opportunities within many departments throughout the Club including: Housekeeping, Golf Ops, Front of House, GCM, Food and Beverage, and the Spa.

Staff are given the support and encouragement to gain greater confidence, leading to further responsibility. New staff members don’t need to worry about not having any previous experience.

STAFF PROFILE: Ula Kornaszewska

Ula Kornaszewska is a second year Hospitality Food & Beverage Intern who joined the Club in May 2019. Currently staying in the West End of Glasgow with her partner.

“As an Intern I do all sorts of work. During the winter we take time to visit various other departments in the Club such as Central Reservations, Golf Course Maintenance, Accounts, Human Resources. This is to help us create an all-rounded understanding of how the Club operates.

“Once the season starts, I assist the Fine Dining and Events Manager in organising and putting on various events, including private dinners, charity functions and even weddings. Ordering wines, liaising with the Central Reservations department and briefing my team on how each night is going to run is all a part of organising events here at the Club.”

STAFF PROFILE: Amy Gillespie

Head of Department at Colquhoun Lodge, Amy Gillespie, 30, has been with the club for nine months. She lives in Alexandria with her husband Neil and two boys, Jake and Jaxon.

“I’m responsible for the newest addition to the club – Colquhoun Lodge.

“This is our only self-sufficient lodge that we have on site which has been a huge success with our members.

“It is used exclusively for group bookings and all services are tailored to their needs and requirements. Dining is offered at the lodge allowing guests’ their own personal chef who will create their own bespoke menu which can range from formal and informal dining, pizza nights, curry nights and BBQ’s (BBQ’s are hugely popular in the summer months).

“As the lodge is our newest edition, our last season was spent finding our feet with new bookings and events, I managed this with huge success. It’s an amazing setting to work in.”
