The organisers of Helensburgh’s Bicentenary Pipe Band Championships are holding a fund-raising family ceilidh in the town this weekend.

The event, with live music from local ceilidh/folk-rock band Hell for Leather, will also feature performances by the Helensburgh Clan Colquhoun Pipe Band, opening the event, and by pupils from the Margaret Rose School of Dance.

Juvenile guest artists at the event, which takes place on Saturday, February 29 at the Commodore Hotel, are 16-year-old Skye Campbell Birnie, who will be singing with Hell For Leather, and 14-year-old Eden Birnie with a ballet performance.
