CARDROSS Parish Church is playing host this weekend to a musical group and charity which “writes and performs top quality music full of hope and humour”.

Fischy Music will play at the church halls complex on Saturday, March 7 from 2-4pm.

The ecumenical event, which is being supported by churches in Helensburgh and the surrounding area, is open to all, and is particularly suitable for families.

It will begin with a workshop lasting for around 20-25 minutes, and will be followed by a concert.

Fischy Music’s songs and teaching resources are used in thousands of schools, churches and children’s organisations since the charity was founded 20 years ago by Stephen Fischbacher – who will be among those leading Saturday’s event.

Since then they have produced eight hugely popular CDs including the critically acclaimed “Build Up” album.

Stephen is joined in the Fischy performance team by Suzanne Butler, Margaret McLarty and Christy Ringrose.

Families are welcome to come along to Saturday’s event – for which admission is free – and to hear some of the Fischy Music hit songs as well as learning some new ones.
