A COVE man was arrested for two alleged serious assaults this week which left one victim with a broken arm and another with rib injuries, according to police.

Officers attended the Shore Road area at around 2.30am on Sunday, March 15, in response to reports of a fight at the location.

Two men, aged 22 and 32, both from Garelochhead, received medical attention with one of the victims reportedly suffering a badly broken arm.

Witnesses identified a 21-year-old suspect from the village as having allegedly been responsible.

He was arrested on Monday morning before being taken to Clydebank police office for interview.

The man will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.
