With the latest updates on the coronavirus pandemic now almost completely dominating the present-day news headlines, over the next few days we're going to spend a bit more time looking back at the stories that were making the news in the Advertiser in years gone by.
We're starting today with a visit by pupils from Rhu Primary School to Loch Lomond Seaplanes' Luss base 15 years ago.
Here's how we reported the news in the Advertiser on March 24, 2005...

YOUNGSTERS from Rhu Primary School enjoyed a visit to the bonnie banks with a difference recently.
Primary 2 pupils went to see Loch Lomond Seaplanes’ base at Luss as part of a study of transport.
David West, the pilot, gave each child a souvenir folder telling them all about the seaplane and the company.
They also enjoyed sitting in the pilot’s seat in the plane itself, and watching David at the controls for a real life take-off and landing on the loch.
