A 27-YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with a reported 'road rage' incident on the A83.

Police issued an appeal on Friday evening seeking the public's help in tracing the driver of a dark Audi S3 which had been reported travelling on the A82 and A83 through Tarbet, Arrochar and the Rest and Be Thankful towards Dunoon or Inveraray earlier that day.

According to reports received by police, the driver was alleged to have carried out a number of dangerous overtaking manoeuvres in the Arrochar area, and to have been driving in a generally aggressive manner throughout.

Police also received information alleging that the driver was involved in a 'road rage' incident in which an item was thrown from the Audi towards a second vehicle, resulting in that vehicle losing control and causing a collision.

One person was taken to hospital with injuries following the collision.

In a further update posted on social media on Sunday evening, police said a man from Glasgow had been traced and charged in connection with the alleged incident.

He will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.
