A "highly offensive" act of vandalism appeared on the underpass connecting Whiteinch and Victoria Park Drive South earlier this week.
A member of the public lodged a complaint to the police to make them aware of the offensive and religious type graffiti that had emerged on the wall.
Police Scotland are now hunting for the culprits.
A Tweet from Glasgow North West Police Division reads: "Enquiring into a sectarian and highly offensive act of vandalism committed between Wednesday and Thursday night within the underpass near to Victoria Park Drive.
"Making every effort to identify those responsible, if you think you can help us please phone 101."

A force spokeswoman said: "On 14 May, a member of public called police to report offensive and religious type graffiti that had been painted on an underpass which connects Whiteinch and Victoria Park.
"This was reported to GCC however it would appear that a member of the public has already painted over the graffiti.
"Police enquiries into the incident are continuing."
