THREE men have been charged with possession of controlled drugs after being found by police near Loch Lomond on suspicion of breaching of lockdown travel restrictions.

A number of people were reportedly spotted by officers on patrol in the Inverbeg area on the afternoon of Saturday, May 9.

After approaching various groups to check whether social distancing guidance and Covid-19 travel restrictions were being complied with, police charged three men from the Cambuslang area with alleged drug offences: a 27-year-old for possession of cocaine, and two others, aged 25 and 29, for possession of cannabis.

All three will be reported to the procurator fiscal.
