The organisers of Doune the Rabbit Hole have finally cancelled this summer's event - with tickets to roll over to next year.

Organisers were earlier criticised for a delay in announcing the cancellation of this year's festival, scheduled to take place in Port of Menteith in Stirlingshire from July 17-19.

However, organisers put the cause of the delay down to financial difficulties, adding on a Facebook post that they "kept our hopes up for as long as possible", apologising to ticket holders for the time it took them to make the announcement.

A post reads: "The good news is that all tickets will automatically be valid for the new dates in 2021 - day tickets too.

"You don’t have to do anything to roll over your tickets. As if by magic, your 2020 ticket IS your 2021 ticket!

As well as tickets, the line-up for this year's event will also be carried over to 2021 with headliners such as Public Enemy, Glasgow’s Belle & Sebastian and Buzzcocks to take to next year's stage

Those who purchased weekend tickets will also be given an extra night of festival on Thursday, 15 July, 2021.
