The UK Civil Service's official Twitter account released a Tweet saying: "Arrogant and offensive.
"Can you imagine having to work with these truth twisters?”
It came roughly 20 minutes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson had addressed the UK via a press conference from Downing Street.

He had backed Mr Cummings' trip to Durham, telling the conference: “I think he followed the instincts of every father and every parent and I don’t mark him down for that.
"I believe that in every respect he acted responsibly, legally and with integrity.”
The Tweet was rapidly deleted before it had accumulated tens of thousands of favourites and retweets.
Shortly after, another Tweet was released from The Cabinet Office, reading: "An unauthorised tweet was posted on a government channel this evening. The post has been removed and we are investigating the matter. "
