A NEW martial arts and fitness club could open in a former office in Baillieston if city planners give the project the go-ahead.
Braveheart Martial Arts want to take over a former office on 66 Bredisholm Road.
A planning statement said: “We are looking to run our martial arts and fitness club out of the premises. We are looking to apply for a change of use from class 4 to class 11.
“Our operating hours are between 9 am and 9 pm seven days a week.

“At present we have local MP David Linden on side and he agrees that this type of business is exactly what the area needs and would benefit from.
“There is no known other interest in the building. We can confirm there will be no exterior work done to the premises.”
The club has asked for the permission for 10 years to match the lease term.
A decision is expected on the plans on July 10.
