AN enquiry has been launched after a van driver was reportedly seen by police collecting scrap materials in a Helensburgh town centre street without permission.
Officers reportedly observed a man collecting scrap metal in West King Street on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 12.
Police say that after a routine check of the man's documents it was discovered that he did not hold a valid SEPA licence to carry or dispose of scrap metal.
