Four drivers have been made the subject of reports to the procurator fiscal after road policing officers continued their crackdown on motorists using the A83 between Tarbet and Arrochar.
The reports were submitted after police carried out a speed check on the 30mph stretch of the trunk road near Ballyhennan Crescent in Tarbet on Wednesday, April 20.
In each case, the driver was suspected of travelling at speeds above 50 miles per hour – above the threshold for which a ticket is deemed appropriate.

In addition, a number of speeding tickets were issued, while one vehicle was seized after its driver was suspected of driving without insurance.
The previous week two men were reported to the fiscal for allegedly driving at 51mph in the same 30mph zone, while six motorists had their vehicles seized after they were allegedly found to have been driving without insurance.
