SMALL businesses and employers across West Dunbartonshire who paid statutory sick pay to staff taking coronavirus-related leave are able to claim back the money.
The Coronavirus Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme is now open for applications, and the new online service is being run by HMRC.
After making an application, employers will receive the money within six working days.
The scheme covers all types of employment contracts including full time employees, part-time employees, agency contract employees and employees on flexible or zero-hour contracts plus more.
For employers to claim, go to gov.uk/guidance/claim-back-statutory-sick-pay-paid-to-employees-due-to-coronavirus-covid-19.
