THREE women were arrested in Helensburgh last weekend after police were called out to an early morning house party.

Police received reports of an ongoing noisy gathering at an address in Adelaide Street at around 3am on Sunday, June 21 and after officers entered the property five people were found within the home.

Those who were not living within the property were instructed to leave and police say two males who were present complied immediately.

However, the 25-year-old female householder reportedly became irate and abusive towards officers, refusing to calm down when asked to do so and she was eventually arrested for her conduct after her behaviour escalated.

Upon being placed under arrest, police say the woman physically resisted and had to be secured and removed from the property before being taken to Clydebank police office.

The two other women who were present, a 22-year-old from Cambuslang and a 26-year-old from Kirkmichael Road, also allegedly became abusive to officers and were both arrested for their conduct.

All three will be the subject of a joint report to the procurator fiscal.
