A HELENSBURGH man is due in court over claims that he was found carrying a knife and drugs on a street in the town.
Police say the man was stopped in the town's Old Luss Road just after 4pm on Wednesday, June 24, when officers reportedly noticed a strong smell of cannabis.
The 34-year-old was detained for a search and officers allegedly recovered a lock-back knife, along with quantities of cannabis and diazepam.
The man was arrested and taken to Clydebank police office where he was charged with possession of the weapon and two counts of possession of drugs.
He was released to appear at court on a future date.
