TWO men have been reported to the procurator fiscal for allegedly camping without a permit in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

Police from Helensburgh have been patrolling popular camping sites within the National Park in recent weeks after a rise in the number of reports concerning leftover waste at certain spots.

On the morning of Sunday, July 12, two men – a 38-year-old from Dundee and a 29-year-old from Fife – were charged by officers for breaching regulations just north of Luss.

The pair were said to have been camping without a permit in a regulated zone.
