POLICE in Helensburgh received a report from a member of the public that a young child was wandering alone on the town’s seafront this week.

The report stated that a boy of around six years old had been seen on his own in West Clyde Street at around 6.40am on Tuesday.

The boy was traced by police and taken to his home a short distance away, where he was reunited with his parents.

A report on the incident has been submitted the procurator fiscal.
