Organisers of an annual charity challenge have raised around £3,000 for charity in support of one of their members.
Nine brave souls took part in the 36th New Year’s Day outing of the Loch Lomond Water Ski Club display and raised £2,969.76 for Alzheimer’s Scotland.
One of their members Gerry Murray who has been involved with the club for over 40 years was diagnosed with dementia in 2018.
He was able to hand over the cheque to a representative for the charity last week.

The ski club’s president, David Henderson, said: “The day went very well. We had all sorts of fancy dress costumes and we even had a 12-year-old, Jess Hopkinson, who only just learned to ski recently, take part and she did very well.
"We’d like to thank Cameron House Marina and the Boat House restaurant, as well as Mayles Watersports and everyone who supported us.”
The organisers of the club decided earlier this year to set a target goal of £2,000, but has since sailed by that figure achieving their highest donation total to date.
