A POLICE officer was reportedly assaulted while carrying out a check on a person's welfare in Helensburgh.
Officers attended a property in East Princes Street at around 10.35pm on Wednesday, July 15 to speak to a 35-year-old man.
Police say that due to his behaviour towards officers when they arrived, the man was arrested for allegedly behaving in a disorderly manner, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
A report on the incident has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
