POLICE have charged an alleged drink driver after he was reportedly found to be three times the legal limit while driving near Helensburgh.
Officers stopped the driver of a 09 plate Kia vehicle on the A82, north of Arden, in the early hours of Friday, August 7 after being concerned at the manner in which the vehicle was being driven.,
The man, a 32-year-old from Renfrew, allegedly smelled of alcohol, and a roadside breath test was said to have shown a level of alcohol three times in excess of the legal limit.

The man was arrested and taken to Clydebank police office where further test samples returned the same results, according to police.
The driver was charged and held in custody until sober before being released to appear at court on a later date.
