ARGYLL and Bute Council says it will be carrying out spot checks to ensure all of the area’s school pupils are wearing face masks while travelling on school transport.
And the authority says that if any pupil refuses to comply, their parents or carers will be asked to make alternative transport arrangements.

The rules apply to every pupil who uses a bus, taxi, train – or even a plane or ferry, as in some other parts of Argyll and Bute – to travel to and from school.
Pupils already have to wear masks while moving about in school, though they are not required in classrooms.
