A WOMAN who allegedly refused to pay up for a boat from a Rosneath seller reportedly struck the craft with an axe before fleeing the scene, according to police.
Police were contacted on Saturday morning, September 5 by a business owner reporting that a female had attended at the premises to remove a previously paid for small boat without paying for other accrued expenses.

The woman is said to have refused to cough up for the outstanding fees when asked and proceeded to strike the boat with the weapon. She then left before officers arrived.
Police say an enquiry to trace the suspect, believed to be a 45-year-old from Inverchaolain, on the Cowal peninsula, is ongoing and they hope to interview her for her alleged disorderly conduct and possession of the axe.
