Another person has died after testing positive for coronavirus as new cases remain in the hundreds. 

The number of new cases is less than half of that reported yesterday with 344 people testing positive in the past 24 hours. 

Yesterday, tally of 714 coronavirus cases was the highest recorded in Scotland during the pandemic.

It is worth noting figures can be underrepresented on weekend due to Register Offices generally being closed. 

More than 9% of those tested returned positive results. 

The largest increase in cases was seen in Greater Glasgow with 172 people testing positive. 

NHS Lanarkshire has seen 58 new cases and 40 people tested positive in NHS Lothian. 

As of yesterday, 105 people were in hospital with confirmed coronavirus, an increase of six.

And 12 people were in intensive care, rising by one.
