A MAN was caught behind the wheel of a car near Helensburgh while disqualified from driving.
Police spotted a male driving a Vauxhall Corsa near to Auchendennan Bay, on the banks of Loch Lomond, on Friday evening, October 2 and a check reportedly revealed that only a female was insured to drive the vehicle.
Officers stopped the car after it was confirmed that the male driver, a 43-year-old from Glasgow, was disqualified from driving and therefore uninsured.

The 46-year-old female passenger, later confirmed as the car’s owner, was charged with causing and permitting the man to drive the vehicle.
The driver was arrested and taken to Clydebank police office where he was released to appear at court on a later date charged with driving whilst disqualified and without insurance.
