POLICE have issued a fresh appeal for help to find a man who has disappeared from his home in Johnstone.

Kevin Turner, 50, lives in Quarrelton Grove and is described as 5ft 8ins in height and of a stocky build with short brown hair.

When last seen, he was wearing a black rain jacket, dark blue jeans and black boots.

Officers have released CCTV footage which appears to be Kevin in Johnstone train station at 8.38am on Sunday, October 25, after leaving his home on foot earlier in the morning.

He can be seen walking from platform two, then up and over the footpath to platform one, before exiting the station where he walks in the direction of Thorn Brae and out of sight.

Inspector James McArthur said: "If anyone was in the area around this time and recognises the man in these images, we would ask that they contact police as soon as possible.

"There is significant concern for the safety and wellbeing of Kevin and I am asking for the public’s assistance in helping us to trace him.

"I would specifically ask local residents to check outbuildings, sheds and gardens in case he has taken shelter.

"I would also ask anyone in the area around Johnstone train that has private CCTV or dashcam footage to please check for anything relevant which could help us find Kevin.

"If you have any information that could assist with our investigation, please get in contact with police."
