A HELENSBURGH man has been charged with possessing a controlled drug with intent to supply it to others following a police raid on an address in the town.

The man was arrested after police officers with a sheriff’s search warrant went to a property in Buchanan Road at 9.30pm on Friday, October 23.

Once inside, police detained two adults while a search of the property was carried out. A quantity of herbal cannabis was reportedly discovered, along with other paraphernalia relating to the suspected supply of drugs.

Following the search, the 41-year-old male householder was arrested and taken to Clydebank police office, where he was interviewed and charged. A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
