TRADITIONAL guising may not have been possible this year, but Helensburgh and Lomond children still made the most of Hallowe’en.

The ongoing coronavirus crisis - and the restrictions which go with it - meant that neighbourhoods across the country missed out on ‘trick-or-treating’ kids pounding the streets in search of sweets.

However, youngsters remained keen to dress up as their favourite characters and enjoy a night of fun on Saturday, October 31.

We received lots of fantastic photos of terrifying - and, in some cases, adorable, too - local children following a social media callout.

Readers’ contributions featured a special shout-out for five-year-old Robyn Lawes, who dressed up as Lady Gaga, and has been off school and ill after being confirmed with Covid-19.

She has “insisted on still getting on with her school work and being as positive as possible with no drama”, leaving mum Amy very proud.

Thanks to everyone who replied to our post on Facebook with pictures of their little ones, and to those who messaged or emailed us directly.
