A WOMAN allegedly spat a drink into the face of a member of staff at a Helensburgh pub over the weekend.
Two female customers at a licensed premises in West Clyde Street reportedly left the pub on Sunday night, November 15, while still in possession of glasses.
A member of staff is said to have challenged one of the women to return her glass and she became abusive to the male staff member, according to police.
When asked to hand over the glass, the woman allegedly took a drink from it before spitting it into the staff member’s face and arm.

The alleged assault was witnessed by others who kept sight of the two women as they were picked up in a vehicle by a man.
The details of the car and direction of travel were broadcast to local officers, and the vehicle was later stopped near to Dumbarton police office.
The female passenger, a 28-year-old from Clydebank, was reportedly confirmed as the woman involved in the altercation and she was arrested and taken to Clydebank police office.
A report on the incident will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
