A full, Scotland-wide lockdown came into force yesterday morning with all non-essential businesses ordered to close.
The shutdown means only shops deemed as essential can remain open with restrictions to last the duration of January.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said the tighter laws have been put in place to prevent NHS Scotland from becoming overwhelmed during the outbreak of a new, faster spreading strain of Covid-19.
