POLICE are trying to trace a man for information on an alleged assault that took place on Rosneath beach last month.
Helensburgh police have appealed for help in identifying a male to assist with their enquiries into the incident that occurred on the beachfront, near to where it meets with Ferry Road, at around 9am on Saturday morning, December 19.
The male involved is described as 6ft tall, of average build, and was wearing a blue jacket with blue jeans.

He was in the company of a female wearing a long, dark blue padded jacket, with a dark coloured hat and trousers; they also had a white and brown spaniel type dog with them.
The suspect is said to have grabbed the face of a male victim, who was in his 60s, scratching him in the process.
Anyone who may have any information relating to the incident is asked to call 101 and ask for PC McCrate at Helensburgh police office.
