A FORMER tearoom in Rosneath is set to go under the hammer at an online auction.

The building which was formerly home to the Clachan Tearoom in Rosneath is one of the lots in an online auction on Friday, January 29.

Future Property Auctions, which has set an opening bid of £10,000, describes it as an “atttractively presented commercial unit”, situated “within a traditional terraced row of workers’ cottages”.

The property also has “change of use” permission for conversion to residential use, the auctioneers say.

The online catalogue description adds: “Seasonal trade is likely during the summer months, with a potential retail income for those looking to use the space as a cafe.

The area currently comes as unfurnished, but has a public area with space for tables, a takeaway servery counter, a small kitchen area and a customer toilet.

"The space is located on the Rosneath peninsula, with beautiful views from the harbour all round to the Clyde estuary, Loch Long and the Gare Loch.
