AN ANIMAL rescue charity is appealing for help tracing the owner of a cat found in Helensburgh over the Easter weekend.

The Scottish SPCA issued the appeal via its Facebook page, stating that the male cat in the picture above had been found on Victoria Crescent in the town on Friday, April 2.

In the post the charity said: "Please note, this is not a rehoming post. We are trying to trace this animal's owners.

"Please only contact us if you have relevant information.

"He is now in the care of our Dunbartonshire centre. If you recognise him please call 03000 999 999."
