Cardross volunteers took part in a community beach clean in October last year
CARDROSS Community Council is organising a spring beach clean this weekend and local residents are being invited to take part.
The event will be held on Saturday, May 1 from 10am until 12pm and volunteers are asked to meet at the shore car park in Station Road.
Rubbish bags and rubber gloves will be provided on the day, thanks to Argyll and Bute Council’s amenities department, however litter pickers will not be provided, so anyone with any additional equipment is advised to bring their own.
Hand sanitiser will be available and all participants will be encouraged to maintain social distancing at all times. Volunteers should also bring their own heavy duty gloves if possible.
