A DOZEN Helensburgh and Lomond organisations have signed up to be ‘good causes’ in the new Argyll Community Lottery, which launched last week.

From every £1 ticket sold, 60p goes to good causes across Argyll and Bute – and of that 60p, players can nominate which cause gets 50p.

The Helensburgh and Lomond groups signed up so far are Fun First, Grey Matters Active Ageing, Visiting Friends, Helensburgh Art Hub, Jean’s Bothy, Males Tales, the West of Scotland Military Wives Choir, the Friends of Hermitage Park, the 4th Helensburgh Scouts, the Helensburgh and Lomond Carers Centre SCIO, the Helensburgh and District Twinning Association, and Loch Lomond and District Young Farmers.

The first draw will take place on Saturday, May 29.
