A HELENSBURGH teenager was apprehended by police last week after reportedly smashing a shop window in the town centre and running off.
Police received a report of a business window being smashed in Sinclair Street at around 8pm on Thursday evening, May 27 and information passed to officers claimed that a male youth had run off along East King Street.
Officers later stopped a suspect matching the description near to the Co-op car park and returned him to the location of the incident, where he was allegedly identified as having been responsible for breaking the shop window.
The 17-year-old will be considered for a report to the children’s reporter.
