RHU Primary School pupils celebrated the end of term with an action-packed health week.with some welcome support from community groups and local businesses.
Eager pupils took part in individual class sports days with an Olympic theme, with the aptly named ‘Rhulympics’ creating a buzz of competition throughout the school. Teams competed in running, throwing and jumping events, while keeping a close eye on the medal table to see who would be standing on the podium.
Babcock provided gold, silver and bronze medals for the competitors. Helensburgh greengrocer, Nature’s Harvest, supported the school’s healthy eating ethos by donating a piece of fresh fruit for every pupil.
Active Schools introduced the pupils to a wide variety of sports, including ultimate frisbee, hockey, football and dodgeball.

"We are enormously grateful for the support from local businesses, Active Schools and the Rhu Primary School Association, for their generous donations and time.
"We are proud to be a community school and we value these close partnerships as they enhance the experiences for our pupils.”
