Primary school age pupils will be able to give rugby a try at a session at Helensburgh Rugby Club on August 22
CHILDREN in Helensburgh and Lomond will have the chance to pick up some basic rugby skills at a 'come and try' session in Helensburgh this weekend.
The session is being run by Helensburgh Rugby Club and takes place at the club's Ardencaple grounds on Rhu Road Higher on Sunday, August 22 from 10am.
It's open to children in the P1 to P7 age groups and will feature an introduction to some basic rugby drills, with tackling included only from P4 upwards.
Games start next week, with further training sessions after school on Friday.
